Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and medical documentation practices. The General Dentist will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the highest level of patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Perform a variety of dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics
  • Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care
  • Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care measures
  • Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and training
  • Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in the dental clinic

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid state dental license to practice dentistry
  • Experience with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Curve is preferred
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and techniques is a plus
  • Proficient in medical terminology, dental terminology, and anatomy knowledge
  • Experience in endodontics, oral surgery, and dental fabrication is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $200.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
