General Dentist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and infection control. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics will be highly valued as you work with a diverse patient population.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Perform a variety of dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics
• Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care strategies
• Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, including medical imaging and aseptic techniques
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols within the dental clinic

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state dental license to practice dentistry
• Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices and infection control standards
• Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort
