We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to provide high-quality dental care services within a Correctional Facility located in Stockton, California. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting oral health and preventive care among patients in a secure healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnostic assessments for patients.
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions including cavities, infections, and oral diseases.
  • Perform dental extractions, restorations, and oral surgeries as required.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Fabricate and adjust dental prosthetics and appliances, ensuring quality and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and facility guidelines.
  • Utilize Eaglesoft or similar dental management software for patient documentation and scheduling.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Uphold all infection control and safety standards in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
  • Licensure: Active and valid State Dental License to practice in California.
  • Experience: Previous experience in general dentistry, preferably with exposure to oral surgery and prosthodontics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental terminology, fabrication techniques, and clinical procedures.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, patient management, and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment: Dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety in a correctional healthcare setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $120.00 - $125.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • Dentist: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Professional License issued by California Board (Required)
