Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental examinations, including oral assessments, medical history reviews, and diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass preventive, restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, periodontal, and oral surgery procedures.
• Conduct dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, dentures, and other prosthodontic treatments with precision and care.
• Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice standards.
• Ensure strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during all procedures.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care delivery.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
• Stay current with advancements in general dentistry by participating in ongoing education and training sessions.
• Adhere to all safety standards related to medical documentation, medical terminology, and infection control practices within the dental office environment.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice dentistry as a General Dentist.
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting with proficiency in dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.
• Demonstrated expertise in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles for treating pediatric patients effectively.
• Ability to assess patient needs accurately through comprehensive examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to patient care excellence with a focus on comfort and safety throughout all treatments.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and patient privacy standards.
