Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations using advanced medical imaging techniques.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that encompass restorative procedures, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures), and oral surgery such as dental extractions.
• Execute a wide range of general dentistry procedures with precision, including fillings, crowns, bridges, and periodontal treatments.
• Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and legal standards.
• Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists employing four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
• Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures by utilizing software such as Eaglesoft practice management systems.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient care by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and excellent communication skills throughout every interaction.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures.
• Demonstrated proficiency with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience performing pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus but not mandatory; however, familiarity with pediatrics is beneficial for treating younger patients effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to oral health is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontic work, and oral surgery procedures is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with infection control practices and sterilization techniques aligned with OSHA standards ensures safe clinical operations.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and data security.
