Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. For temp work until mid December. Must be in network with Delta Dental. All others we are OON. The doctor broke her hand and is in need of immediate help.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of dental health. The position requires a licensed dentist with experience in general dentistry procedures, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental imaging. Familiarity with practice management software such as Eaglesoft is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in medical and dental terminology, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and patient assessments to determine treatment needs.
- Provide a wide range of general dental services including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and preventive care.
- Conduct oral surgeries and perform dental extractions with aseptic technique.
- Utilize dental imaging technology for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver pediatric dentistry services tailored to young patients’ needs.
- Implement infection control procedures adhering to OSHA standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment options while ensuring patient comfort and understanding.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable.
- Proven experience in general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or medical imaging is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontic procedures, and other restorative treatments effectively.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs comprehensively.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on quality care and patient satisfaction.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique during all procedures.
