Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced medical imaging tools.
• Deliver high-quality general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics procedures.
• Conduct complex dental procedures including root canal therapy, dental extractions, and oral surgeries with precision and aseptic technique.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans that meet patient needs and expectations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
• Utilize dental fabrication techniques for crowns, bridges, or other prosthetic devices when necessary.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure the clinic maintains a sterile environment at all times.
• Stay current with industry best practices by engaging in ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
• Experience performing pediatric dentistry procedures with a gentle approach tailored for children (pediatrics).
• Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), and oral surgery procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize patient comfort and practice productivity.
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate demeanor that fosters trust and rapport.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Ability to interpret medical records and coordinate care with other healthcare providers when necessary.
