Job Description Summary

As our General Dentist, you'll be integral to our patient's oral health. You'll diagnose and treat issues with teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth, performing a range of procedures from routine to complex restorative and cosmetic treatments. Your expertise will not only enhance patient smiles but also guide their overall health through education on diet choices, healthy habits, and oral care. Your role is pivotal in shaping the well-being and satisfaction of our patients

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose oral diseases; conduct thorough examinations of patients’ oral health, diagnose dental conditions, and develop customized treatment plans
  • Perform or oversee whole health DMI initiatives (blood pressure, oral cancer, PHQ9, A1C, smoking cessation) including referrals and follow up care to address any underlying health concerns or complications
  • Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, preventative care, and treatment options; provide advise on diet, lifestyle, and home care routines
  • Interpret X-Rays and diagnostic tests
  • Ensure the safe administration of anesthetics
  • Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws
  • Remove decay from teeth and treat cavities
  • Repair cracked or fractured teeth and remove teeth
  • Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Write prescriptions for antibiotics or other medications
  • Make models and measurements for dental appliances (i.e. dentures)
  • Oversee various administrative tasks as related to the extended dental team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of practice experience w/bachelors degree, 2+ years of supervisory/management, required.
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school, required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of private dentistry practice experience and an active, unencumbered dental license with the California Dental Board, required.
  • A commitment to providing patient-centered care that integrates oral health with overall health and well-being.
  • Strong ethical grounding in patient care and confidentiality.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to participate actively in the continual improvement of the clinic's operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 - $310,000.00 per year
