General Dentist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team for our Medicaid and Medicare patient load. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health through expert diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education. We have an opportunity to add one day per week and will add more days in future.

Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations using advanced medical imaging techniques.
• Deliver a broad spectrum of general dentistry services with attention to allotted time: such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics procedures.
• Conduct complex dental procedures including root canal therapy, simple dental extractions.
• Utilize electronic health record systems like IDental Soft to document patient information accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance and protecting patient confidentiality.
• Implement infection control protocols diligently to ensure a sterile environment and prevent cross-contamination.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
• Requirements:
• Valid dental license to practice in the respective jurisdiction with current credentials.
• Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting; familiarity with dental office workflows is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as IDental Soft for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to perform dental procedures including root canal therapy, dental extractions (including surgical), prosthodontics fabrication, and endodontic treatments.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles for treating pediatric patients when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
