Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. This role requires excellent patient care skills, a thorough understanding of dental terminology, and the ability to perform various dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. The Dentist will work collaboratively with our dental team to provide high-quality care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care strategies
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and aseptic techniques
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing multiple tasks
