Job Summary-1 day per week to start
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient education, in a patient-centered environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilize advanced dental technologies and collaborate with a dedicated team to improve oral health outcomes for diverse patient populations. The position requires adherence to strict infection control protocols and compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing general dentistry procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
  • Conduct oral surgeries and perform procedures like dental fabrication, restorations, and periodontal treatments utilizing aseptic technique.
  • Utilize dental office experience with software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for documentation and medical records management.
  • Provide patient care with empathy and professionalism, ensuring clear communication about treatment options and procedures.
  • Maintain infection control standards and adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental software platforms including Eaglesoft
  • Experience in oral surgery, dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using dental terminology and clinical judgment.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort, safety, and effective communication.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly preferred.
