Duties

• Perform a wide range of general dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions with precision and care.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose oral health issues accurately and develop effective treatment plans.
• Utilize dental imaging technology such as X-rays to identify underlying problems and guide treatment decisions.
• Execute complex procedures like root canal therapy, dental fabrications, and oral surgeries adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Maintain detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate documentation of patient care and medical history.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
• Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards essential for accurate diagnosis and safe practice.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while providing clear explanations of procedures and treatments.
• Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontic work, and other general dentistry procedures with confidence.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices when treating young patients in a gentle and effective manner.
• Ability to operate medical imaging equipment safely while interpreting results accurately for diagnosis.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for protecting patient privacy and handling sensitive medical records securely.
