Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Dentist with strong communication and people skills to join our well-established, privately owned practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth—both clinically and financially—in a supportive environment that prioritizes quality dentistry and work-life balance.

As the sole treating doctor (no shared patients or production), you will deliver high-quality care, diagnose and treat a wide range of dental conditions, perform restorative and preventive procedures, and educate patients on maintaining long-term oral health. Our practice is committed to providing a pressure-free setting where you can focus on excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and a commitment to evidence-based dentistry in the following areas:

  • Comprehensive Oral Evaluations:

Perform thorough new-patient, periodic, and limited examinations, including caries risk assessment, periodontal charting, occlusal evaluation, soft-tissue screenings, and diagnostic interpretation of radiographs and intraoral images.

  • Same-Day Dentistry & Treatment Planning:

Formulate clear, patient-centered treatment plans and complete same-visit restorative or emergency procedures when clinically appropriate to enhance patient experience and case acceptance.

  • Restorative and Surgical Procedures:

Diagnose and manage dental pathology across a broad clinical spectrum. Perform direct and indirect restorations, simple and surgical extractions, full-coverage crowns, bridge preparations, and prosthodontic procedures (partial/complete dentures). Maintain high technical accuracy in margin integrity, occlusion, and esthetics.

  • Endodontic Therapy:

Provide predictable, high-quality endodontic treatment, including pulpotomies and non-surgical root canal therapy, utilizing proper isolation, instrumentation, irrigation protocols, and obturation techniques.

  • Infection Control & Aseptic Technique:

Apply strict infection-control standards in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Maintain sterile fields, proper instrument handling, and aseptic workflow throughout all clinical procedures.

  • Patient Communication & Preventive Care:

Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, post-operative care, oral hygiene techniques, and long-term disease prevention. Communicate findings using clear, empathetic, and health-literacy-appropriate explanations.

  • Clinical Documentation & Practice Management:

Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant clinical notes in Curve Dental, including charting, medical history review, informed consent, treatment notes, anesthesia documentation, and billing codes.

  • Four-Handed Dentistry & Team Collaboration:

Work efficiently with dental assistants to optimize operatory flow, isolation techniques, instrument transfer, time management, and patient comfort.

  • Professional Development & Continuing Education:

Stay current with clinical innovations, materials, and best practices. Participate in continuing education to enhance diagnostic accuracy, procedural efficiency, and overall patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid dental license to practice in the state.
  • Should be comfortable handling most dental procedures
  • Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with various dental procedures including endodontics and prosthodontics.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on comfort and satisfaction.
  • Ability to perform dental extractions and root canal therapy effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment through adherence to aseptic techniques.
