General Dentist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. You will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, performing various procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their treatment. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control practices.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions
• Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide education to patients regarding oral health, preventive care, and treatment options
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure optimal patient care
• Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures in the clinical setting
• Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for patient management and record keeping
• Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques

Experience

• Proven experience in a dental clinic or office setting is essential
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred
• Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical terminology
• Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health is required
• Experience with medical imaging techniques is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to perform root canal therapy and other complex procedures is a plus
