Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations and medical history reviews, utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards.
• Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics with precision and care.
• Carry out dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other oral surgeries using aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Utilize dental imaging technology to diagnose conditions accurately and plan effective treatment strategies.
• Manage patient records meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of medical records.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver four-handed dentistry for efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and treatment options using clear communication skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Stay current with advancements in dentistry by engaging in ongoing education related to endodontics, pediatrics, oral surgery, and other specialties as needed.
• Ensure all procedures are documented thoroughly in medical records and that patient care is delivered with compassion and professionalism.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting with a solid understanding of general dentistry procedures.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures and handle pediatric patients with patience and care.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
• Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures is desirable.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry for diagnosis and treatment planning.
