Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to provide exceptional dental care during a maternity leave coverage period. This period is predicted to be from March 9th-June 10th. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive dental services in a dynamic clinic environment. This is a great fit for an experienced dentist that is confident working as a solo doctor. This is a small, fee for service office that provides laser dentistry, sleep dentistry, and general dentistry. The patient load is very manageable. The selected candidate will be trained prior to accepting the locum position. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. A candidate that is confident in extractions, endodontics and implant restorations is an asset. Office hours:

Monday: 8-5

Tuesday: 8-5

Wednesday: 8-5

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques
  • Deliver a wide array of general dentistry services such as fillings, crowns, implant crowns, extractions, sleep dentistry, endodontics and prosthodontics procedures
  • Conduct oral surgeries including dental extractions and root canal therapy with precision and aseptic technique
  • Utilize dental fabrication tools and techniques to create restorations and prostheses as needed
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety
  • Document all medical records accurately using electronic health record systems like Practiceworks
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies

Qualifications

  • Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing
  • Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (root canal therapy), and prosthodontics preferred
  • Skilled in four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency and patient comfort during procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide compassionate care

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $550.00 - $750.00 per day
