Duties

• Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
• Conduct dental extractions and assist with oral surgeries using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Administer local anesthesia and manage pain control during procedures.
• Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret radiographs to diagnose dental conditions accurately.
• Execute root canal therapy (endodontics) and other advanced procedures when necessary.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and related fields such as prosthodontics and endodontics.
• Manage medical records efficiently using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clinic atmosphere focused on excellent patient care.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing.
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment; familiarity with pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Proficiency with dental software platforms including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other advanced procedures confidently.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements.
• Ability to work part-time with flexibility in scheduling while maintaining high standards of care.
