Duties

- Conduct dental extractions and assist with oral surgeries using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Administer local anesthesia and manage pain control during procedures.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret radiographs to diagnose dental conditions accurately.
- Execute root canal therapy (endodontics) and other advanced procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and related fields such as prosthodontics and endodontics.
- Manage medical records efficiently using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clinic atmosphere focused on excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment; familiarity with pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency with dental software platforms including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other advanced procedures confidently.
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements.
- Ability to work part-time with flexibility in scheduling while maintaining high standards of care.
