General Dentist - Urgent Need, Locum Tenens

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery being highly desirable. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and performing various dental procedures. Your expertise in dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control will be essential in ensuring the health and safety of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions
• Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records
• Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
• Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care
• Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state dental license with no disciplinary actions
• Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and root canal therapy
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and communication
• Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous

Pay: $130.00 per hour
