General Duty Medical Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Emergency Care: Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate treatment and stabilization to patients.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and prescriptions.
  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor inpatients and ongoing treatments to ensure care continuity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and high-quality care.
  • Documentation: Document patient progress and medical records accurately.
  • Shift Management: Oversee medical activities during their shift, ensuring smooth operations and patient safety.
  • Consultation: Obtain informed consent, order appropriate referrals and investigations (labs, radiology), and interpret results.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and completion of a rotating internship or residency program are required.
  • Licensure: A valid medical license to practice in the jurisdiction of the facility.
  • Clinical Skills: Strong diagnostic and clinical skills are essential for making quick, sound decisions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Work Environment: The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
