General Foreman

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable General Foreman to oversee daily civil works at our construction site. As the primary link between the site management and the workforce, you will be responsible for coordinating tasks, supervising labor crews, ensuring quality control, and maintaining strict safety standards on the ground.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage teams effectively and keep the project running smoothly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of civil construction crews (laborers, masons, steel fixers, carpenters).
Read and interpret architectural/structural drawings, specifications, and site plans.

Assign tasks and ensure work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Monitor material usage and coordinate with the site engineer or storekeeper to ensure adequate supply.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Report daily progress, manpower status, and any site issues to the Project Manager or Site Engineer.
Resolve on-site issues, delays, or conflicts swiftly to avoid project downtime.

Enforce strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols on site.
Train and mentor junior staff and new laborers on safe work practices and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: At least 3–5 years of proven experience working as a Foreman or Supervisor on civil construction sites.
Hands-on knowledge of civil works including foundations, concreting, block works, paving, drainage, and finishing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Valid driving license is a plus (but not mandatory).

Work Hours & Compensation:
Work Hours: 8 hours per day (standard duty).
Salary: 2,000 AED per month
Overtime:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED2,000.00 per month
