General Handyman

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman Person to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this energetic role, you will be the go-to professional for a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks across residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that our facilities operate smoothly, look their best, and remain safe for all occupants. Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting to uphold facility standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify issues early and implement timely solutions.
• Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to diagnose problems accurately and execute repairs efficiently. .
• Assist with facilities upgrades, renovations, or improvements by supervising or executing projects like residential painting or minor construction tasks.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to protect yourself and others.
• Supervise or coordinate with contractors or team members on larger projects or repairs when necessary.
• Support manufacturing or operational facilities by maintaining machinery, troubleshooting issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and ensuring continuous production flow.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, maintenance person services, or related fields with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
• Have a drivers license and reliable transportation
• Be able to work on a when needed basis
• Hands-on experience with welding, electrical work (including troubleshooting with ohmmeters), and residential painting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for coordinating projects or guiding junior staff.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Valid tools certification such as forklift operation or safety training is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
