General Handyman

We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Duties

• Conduct general repairs and maintenance across residential and commercial facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and mechanical systems
• Perform painting tasks, including residential interior and exterior painting projects to enhance property appearance
• Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, schematics readers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify issues early and implement effective solutions promptly
• Assist with facilities upgrades by supervising or participating in small-scale projects involving welding or electrical installations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Support team leadership by supervising junior staff or apprentices during complex tasks while ensuring safety protocols are followed

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or general handyman roles within residential or manufacturing environments
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting using ohmmeters and understanding wiring diagrams
• Skilled in welding techniques suitable for repair or fabrication tasks
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience overseeing maintenance teams or projects is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English and collaborate effectively with team members and clients
