General Handyman

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of manufacturing business. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment by performing a wide range of repair, installation, and maintenance tasks. Duties

• Conduct general repairs and maintenance across the facility, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and painting.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics using schematics, technical manuals, and tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues accurately for flexo presses.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems to support facility operations.
• Carry out welding tasks as needed for structural repairs or fabrication projects.
• Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during large projects or complex repairs while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Support facilities management by performing residential painting, installing fixtures, and managing routine upkeep tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or handyman roles within manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams confidently.
• Electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits with tools like ohmmeters; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
• Skilled in welding techniques for structural repairs or fabrication projects.
• Experience in residential painting and general carpentry work.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
