Job Summary
A Solar Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires hands-on technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot solar power systems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and maintain solar PV panels, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical wiring.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and calibration to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in solar arrays and related equipment.
Conduct site surveys, prepare installation reports, and document work performed.
Follow health & safety guidelines, use PPE, and maintain clean and organized work areas.
Assist in the configuration of inverters and battery systems if applicable.
Provide basic training or technical guidance to junior technicians or customers as needed.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or technical certificate in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related field; formal PV training preferred.
2–4 years of practical experience with solar PV system installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, DC/AC wiring, safety procedures, and basic inverter knowledge.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and use testing tools (multimeter, insulation tester, etc.).
Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Arabic or other regional languages are a plus.
