As a General Laborer, you will support multiple production departments throughout the facility by performing a wide variety of tasks based on daily operational needs. This role is fast‑paced and highly physical, requiring frequent movement, lifting, and multitasking. You will also operate PIT equipment (Gas/LP trucks, electric trucks, hand trucks, riders, etc.) with training provided. Your work will contribute to efficient workflow, product quality, and plant productivity.
As a General Laborer, your responsibilities will shift depending on department needs. Tasks may include:

Operate PIT equipment (Gas/LP, electric trucks, hand trucks, riders).

Enter job information and shipping data using basic computer systems.

Perform manual tasks including lifting, sorting, moving materials, and repetitive motions such as feeding gluers.

Maintain efficient workflow across multiple departments in a single shift.
-
Operate clamp and gas trucks.
-
Move and stage rolls and loads for production.
-
Assist with machine changeovers (make‑readies).
-
Support machine operation (loading rolls, pulling loads, running equipment).
-
Identify quality issues such as wrinkled board, rips, or tears.
-
Stage and pull inks and plates for make‑readies.
-
Operate the feed and hand trucks.
-
Refill ink cartridges during production.
-
Perform quality checks for color, scumming, scratches, register, and blemishes.
-
Operate hand trucks and electric PIT equipment.
-
Operate the aerator and assist with machine feeding.
-
Support make‑readies and set‑up.
-
Perform quality checks (cuts, cracked scores, scratches, register issues).
-
Operate hand trucks, electric reach trucks, and riders.
-
Feed gluers and collators.
-
Assist or fill in at the Sealer (creating finished goods labels).
-
Sort non‑conforming material.
-
Perform quality checks including glue issues, false scores, and defects noted from other departments.

Basic computer skills.
-
Basic reading, writing, and math abilities.
-
Ability to learn and operate various types of PIT equipment (training provided).

Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical ability to lift from floor to waist and waist to shoulder height.

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions for long periods.

Ability to identify quality issues.

Reliable attendance and willingness to work across multiple departments.

Willingness to work overtime as needed, including during busy periods.

Fork truck experience is a plus but not required.
