General Labor / Monument Installation Technician

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and install monuments, headstones, and memorial markers
• Prepare and make foundations, including mixing, pouring, and leveling concrete bases
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment, including pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, and forklift
• Ensure monuments are level, aligned, and securely set
• Read and interpret work orders and layout specifications
• Help with the sandblasting of workpieces
• Perform site cleanup and maintain professional appearance at job sites
• Clean and perform general maintenance to work areas, tools, and trucks
• Communicate professionally with cemetery staff and occasionally with families
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Construction, masonry, landscaping, or similar hands-on experience preferred
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work
• Experience operating skid steers, forklifts, or small equipment (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing
• Travel to local cemeteries and installation sites
