General Laborer / Construction Cleaning Technician

Job Description

Howard Smith Janitorial is currently hiring motivated and dependable individuals to join our growing team supporting large commercial and industrial projects. This position involves general labor and post-construction cleaning services at active job sites, including data centers and commercial facilities.

We are looking for team members who are reliable, safety-focused, and willing to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform post-construction and detailed cleaning duties
• Remove debris, dust, and construction materials from work areas
• Clean walls, floors, windows, and surfaces to project standards
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed on job sites
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely
• Follow all OSHA and site safety requirements
• Work as part of a team under supervisor direction
• Maintain clean and organized work areas

Work Schedule

• Monday – Saturday
• 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM shifts (10-hour workdays)
• Overtime available based on project needs

Pay

• Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
• Overtime pay available

Requirements

• Must be dependable and punctual
• Ability to perform physical labor and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in construction environments
• Must be able to lift 40–50 lbs
• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
• Valid Driver’s License preferred

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in construction cleaning or general labor
• Forklift or scissor lift operation experience
• Industrial or commercial cleaning experience

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
