General Laborer

Job description:

We are a property management company that maintains CT homes going through the foreclosure process. We are seeking landscape workers to help us maintain these homes and grow with our company!

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, hard-working, and have the ability to self manage and work in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to work well as part of a team, as well as alone, to complete job tasks in a thorough but timely fashion. Must be able to document all work performed with photographic evidence, and upload said photos in a timely fashion. This listing is for a part time position, likely beginning around 20 hours a week, with full time potential in the VERY near future. Shifts begin at 7 am, and are typically ~10 hours long, give or take. All employees are provided with company vehicles during their shift.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Debris Removal/Property Clean Outs

Janitorial Cleaning

Grass Cuts, Edging, Weedwhacking

Trimming - Shrubs/Trees

Yard Cleanups

Weed/Vine Removal

Leaf Removal

Tree Removal

Minor Home Improvements

Property Inspections

Letter Deliveries

Participating in regular trainings

Requirements:

Must have a valid drivers license

Must have a functioning smart phone with access to the App Store (various FREE apps are used to document work with photographic evidence, and to upload pictures)

Must have the strength and stamina to perform job tasks, as some jobs will require heavy lifting

Must be able to work efficiently at a fast pace

MUST be able and willing to pass a background check prior to starting - this is our client's requirement, and non-negotiable

Must be able to follow detailed instructions

Prior landscaping and/or handyman work required

Preferred clean driving record

Preferred experience with power tools

Preferred experience driving larger vehicles (17-20 foot box truck), stick shift vehicles, and towing trailers

Compensation:

Begins at $18-$20 an hour, based on experience

Eligible for a raise following 90 day performance evaluation

Employee of the month bonuses awarded based on performance

Seasonal and holiday bonuses awarded based on performance

What does the job look like in 3-6 months?

Full time hours, along with raise and ability to accrue paid time off

Potential promotion to Shift Leader, based on performance

Ability to self manage most, if not all, job tasks

Ability to commute/relocate:

North Haven, CT 06473: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Required)
