General Laborer (Construction / Jobsite Support)

At Staycation Fiberglass Pools, we don’t just build pools — we create high-end backyard experiences. We’re looking for a dependable, hard-working General Laborer to support our crews and help keep our job sites running clean, safe, and efficient.

What You’ll Do

• Keep job sites clean, organized, and ready for the next phase of work
• Assist multiple crews with day-to-day construction tasks
• Perform basic site prep including grading, leveling, and trench digging
• Help with light landscaping and cleanup
• Install small fence sections (typically 1–2 panels per job)
• Support concrete crews with prep and post-work cleanup
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment
• Help maintain a safe and professional jobsite environment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong work ethic and reliability (this is a must)
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor Texas conditions
• Reliable transportation (you will report directly to job sites)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Concrete or construction experience
• Skid steer or mini skid steer operation
• Pool cleaning or pool industry experience

Pay & Benefits

• $15 – $20/hour (based on experience)

Duties

• Assist with site setup, cleanup, and organization to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Support skilled tradespeople by handling materials, tools, and equipment needed for various tasks
• Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision to perform basic construction activities
• Help with the installation of fixtures such as doors, cabinets, windows, and trim carpentry components
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, plastering, caulking, or painting to ready them for finishing work
• Support concrete forming, finishing, and masonry tasks to contribute to durable structures
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and assist with layout work
• Operate heavy equipment as trained for site preparation and material movement when necessary
• Assist with roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco application, and other specialized tasks
• Support demolition, restoration, or remodeling efforts by removing debris or installing new materials

Skills

• Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for accurate task execution
• Experience with construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus
• Knowledge of construction inspection standards ensures quality control on-site
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems, or HVAC is advantageous
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators after proper training
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations for construction sites
• Ability to work well within a team environment while following detailed instructions
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques
• Basic knowledge of Bluebeam software for digital plan review is beneficial
