Job Title: General Laborer – Lab Assistant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to assist in our lab with manual tasks. This role involves physical work including surface preparation and sample handling and provides a pathway for growth into other lab positions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform surface preparation (grinding) on steel samples
• Assist Lab Technicians with test preparation and general support
• Organize, clean, and maintain lab equipment and workspaces
• Handle and move materials as needed
• Moving materials with pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
• Follow safety and quality standards
• Support other areas of the lab as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Prior experience in a lab or industrial environment is a plus
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and dependability
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
