General Laborer - Shipping

This role is part of Cascade's construction equipment division and is located at PSM, LLC in Woodinville, Washington. Since 1984 PSM has been known for the quality and durability of our attachment line. SUMMARY
Perform general labor to support the shipping department, including cleaning work areas, preparing, moving, and organizing materials, supplies, and finished products.

SHIFT
DAY: Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist the shipping department as directed.
• Receive written information or oral instructions for performing work assignments.
• Learn to identify typical parts, materials, and finished products in order to assist with moving such items within the shop or outside in the laydown yard.
• Perform physical activities, such as keeping shop area or specific pieces of equipment clean and organized.
• Mark or label materials and products with identifying information.
• Learn to identify common pieces of shop equipment and tools in order to assist the production team with physical tasks.
• Move, stack, and organize parts, materials, or finished products to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, or delivery vehicles, using a method appropriate for the items size and weight, such as by hand, hand truck, forklift / lift truck, hoists, crane or other equipment.
• Reliable attendance is an essential function of an employee’s job.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Operate forklift / lift truck and crane safely to move and stage material.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the Woodinville manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work overtime if needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for the duration of the shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to use dual lift or lift devices for heavier loads. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
