General Maintenance Support

Job Summary (Purpose): General Maintenance Support team member will assist our maintenance department with a variety of daily tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring the maintenance team operates efficiently by handling part pickups, supply runs, basic inventory checks, facility clean-up, and post-sanitation support. This individual must be forklift-certified and possess strong time management and organizational skills.

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Pick up parts and materials from local vendors as needed
  • Run errands to secure tools, equipment, or supplies for maintenance operations
  • Assist with routine inventory and parts counting
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect items for accuracy and quality
  • Clean and organize maintenance areas and general facility spaces
  • Support clean-up efforts following sanitation or major maintenance work
  • Help ensure tools, parts, and equipment are properly stored and tracked
  • Operate a forklift safely to move pallets, parts, and equipment throughout the facility
  • Support maintenance technicians with basic tasks as needed
  • Maintain logs or reports related to inventory or supply runs
  • Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Other tasks as assigned

Education & Experience (Minimum Required):

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or maintenance setting is a plus but not required
  • Previous 2 – 3 years’ experience operating a forklift, is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if driving offsite is needed)
  • Strong work ethics and willingness to learn

  • Approachable personality
  • Able to work effectively with constant interruptions and extended shifts
  • Able to effectively problem-solve and make independent decisions weighing available information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Basic computer/data entry skills are a plus

Physical Demands (Typical):

  • Work extended shifts as necessary
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a hot, dusty, or noisy environment
  • Comfortable working in a hot, dusty, and loud environment

Work Environment (Typical):

  • Indoor and outdoor work required
  • Exposure to loud machinery, temperature fluctuations, and industrial chemicals
  • PPE must be worn as required (gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
