Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance Worker to perform routine maintenance and repairs across our beach facilities. This includes ensuring the proper functioning of restrooms, showers, seating areas, electrical systems, and beach equipment. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in general maintenance, be proactive in identifying issues, and contribute to creating a safe and pleasant environment for guests.

The Maintenance Officer works closely with the Maintenance Lead and other teams to maintain high standards of facility upkeep and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

-Routine Maintenance:
Perform daily inspections and maintenance tasks on beach infrastructure such as restrooms, showers, pathways, lighting, and seating areas.

-Repairs:
Carry out minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs promptly to minimize disruption.

-Equipment Care:
Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in daily operations, ensuring they are in good working condition.

-Safety Checks:
Identify potential hazards and report them to the Maintenance Lead. Follow safety procedures during all maintenance activities.

-Support Preventive Maintenance:
Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules to prevent equipment breakdowns.

-Waste Management:
Assist in ensuring proper disposal of waste and recycling in the beach area.

Coordination:
Work closely with cleaning and operations teams to support smooth beach functioning and guest satisfaction.

-Documentation:
Record maintenance work performed and report any significant issues or ongoing repairs to supervisors.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience in general maintenance or facility support roles

-Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or mechanical repairs

-Ability to work independently and follow instructions

-Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs

-Good communication and teamwork skills

-Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Preferred:

-Experience working in a beach, resort, or outdoor environment

-Basic knowledge of safety regulations related to maintenance work

-Capable to communicate in English

Work Environment:

This role involves physical work in an outdoor beach setting, requiring stamina to work in heat, humidity, and sometimes challenging weather conditions. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during busy seasons is necessary.
