JOB DESCRIPTION – GENERAL MANAGER

Position Overview

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of all construction projects, ensuring operational efficiency, quality standards, project profitability, and strong client relations. The role requires proven expertise in civil engineering projects, team leadership, and strategic business development for growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from design to handover.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality parameters.
  • Review and approve construction plans, drawings, and BOQ.
  • Monitor site progress and resolve operational bottlenecks.

2. Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead project managers, engineers, supervisors, and support teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and enforce discipline & safety policies.
  • Ensure continuous skill development & training for project teams.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare & control project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor procurement, vendor management, and contractor performance.
  • Implement cost-saving methods and minimize wastage.

4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all projects meet legal, regulatory, and environmental standards.
  • Implement quality checks at all stages and minimize rework.
  • Strict enforcement of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.

5. Client & Stakeholder Relationship

  • Maintain strong relations with clients, consultants, government authorities, and vendors.
  • Provide timely project updates and address customer requirements.
  • Coordinate for approvals, inspections, and handovers.

6. Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and support tendering processes.
  • Build a strong network in the industry and support brand reputation.
  • Drive operational improvements for overall business growth.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: B.Tech / BE – Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in building construction & project management, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Proven expertise in residential/commercial infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project/Primavera preferred).
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per month
