General Manager

CMC Partners have recently partnered with a renowned and rapidly expanding construction materials organisation that is seeking an experienced Aggregate General Manager to lead and scale its Texas-based aggregates business.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for a growing multi-site operation encompassing limestone and sand & gravel production, rail distribution, and the development of future downstream materials capabilities. The business is in a clear growth phase, driven by organic expansion, capital investment, and major infrastructure demand across the region.

This opportunity is well suited to a hands-on, commercially minded operations leader who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term strategic leadership.

Position Overview:

The Aggregate General Manager will have full responsibility for operational performance, safety, financial results, and team leadership across multiple sites in Texas. Working closely with senior leadership, this individual will play a key role in shaping the next phase of growth through operational excellence, greenfield development, and continuous improvement.

Location flexibility within Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for aggregate mining operations, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, and logistics
• Hold full P&L and CAPEX responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multi-site leadership team
• Drive process improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce downtime, and improve margins
• Lead greenfield development and expansion projects, including permitting and execution
• Champion a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with MSHA, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Act as a key representative with customers, vendors, regulators, and community stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, and leadership teams to support major project execution

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within Aggregate Mining
• Proven track record managing large, multi-site operations with full financial accountability
• Strong operational background in production, quarry development, and heavy equipment environments
• Experience supporting greenfield projects or major expansions is highly desirable
• Exposure to downstream materials (e.g. asphalt) is a plus but not required
• Hands-on, field-oriented leadership style with strong executive presence
• Ability to drive results in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
