Utah Mountain Furniture is a custom rustic furniture manufacturer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We specialize in solid wood, handcrafted furniture and pride ourselves on quality, efficiency, and a strong shop culture. We are a growing business looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive General Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations.

Position Overview

The General Manager will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership position that works closely with ownership, production staff, and vendors. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a manufacturing environment, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple operational areas at once.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Coordinate and oversee daily production schedules
• Ensure workflow efficiency and on-time completion of orders
• Communicate with shop staff to resolve issues and bottlenecks

Shipping & Logistics

• Manage outbound shipping and delivery coordination
• Prepare orders for shipment and ensure accuracy
• Work with freight carriers and delivery partners as needed

Materials & Supplies Management

• Track inventory of materials and shop supplies
• Place purchase orders and coordinate with vendors
• Help prevent production delays due to material shortages

Sales & Customer Service (Occasional)

• Assist with customer communication and order updates
• Support sales inquiries when needed
• Opportunity to earn commission on sales directly handled or closed

Schedule & Work Environment

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Environment: Manufacturing and shop setting
• Must be comfortable working around machinery, materials, and production staff

Compensation

• Base Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 per year
• Additional Commission Opportunities: Available for sales involvement
• Total compensation will vary based on experience and sales participation

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications

• Experience in furniture or cabinet manufacturing
• Ability to speak both English and Spanish
• Experience in operations, production coordination, or shop management
