Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Jimmy John's team and oversee daily operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in kitchen management, food preparation, and customer service. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the establishment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, including interviewing potential candidates.
- Implement effective strategies for improving customer satisfaction and enhancing service quality.
- Coordinate kitchen management activities, including food preparation and menu planning.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper stock management for all food service items.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing orders, payments, and reporting.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Monitor financial performance and assist in budget preparation to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications
- ServSafe certification is required
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role within the food industry or hotel sector.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations, including bartending and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with Jimmy John's POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in food preparation and cooking is advantageous but not mandatory.
