General Manager - CCR Plant

To manage and optimize production operations in a continuous copper rod plant, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality while driving process improvements and team development.

Role & Responsibility

• Lead and manage daily operations of the copper rod production plant (Continuous Casting and Rolling CCR).
• Oversee commissioning, maintenance, start-up, and shutdown of plant operations.
• Implement rigorous quality control standards to meet industry specifications.
• Ensure adherence to statutory compliance and safety protocols (Permit systems).
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance to reduce plant breakdown/downtime.
• Monitor and manage inventory to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance plant productivity.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance assessments to enhance team skill sets.
• Liaise with suppliers/vendors to negotiate favorable terms for procurement of raw materials.
• Utilize data-driven insights to implement process improvements and reduce operational costs.
  
  

Qualification & Experience

• B.Sc. / Diploma / B.E. in Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related discipline
• Minimum 20 years of Experience.
• Commissioning and Operations of Copper Rod Plant
• Expertise in Reverberatory, Induction, and Shaft Melting Furnaces.
• Maintenance & Execution of Continuous Casting and Rolling (CCR) Plants.
• Quality Management and Safety Compliance.
• Inventory and Team Management.
• Process Control and Optimization.
