Role and Responsibilities
·1. He should be capable of coordinating with employer, consultants, site engineers and other staff
2. He will have to organize all activities at site and guide in resolving bottlenecks to achieve desired rate of progress
3. The general manager shall obtain either mobilization advance or arrange for finance through his head office
4. Arrange all material, labour resources and arrange for construction equipment
5. Arrange RMC/ site mix concrete
6. Arrange for labour camp, their accommodation, water, bathing and toilet facilities, canteen and other welfare measures
7. Arrange fabrication yard, security and safety measures
8. Identify site and arrange for mark out to commence work
9. Arrange site lighting
10. Supplying instructions to carry out work
11. Obtaining drawings and specifications
12. Prepare master programme, monthly, weekly and daily programmes and their implementation. Arrange adequate resources and equipment
13. Prepare progress reports
14. Carry out investigations, quality checks, tests and maintenance of records
15. Prepare running bills and pursue for payment
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
· Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
· In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
· Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in project management software and other relevant construction tools.
· Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and environmental considerations.
· Familiarity with health and safety standards and the ability to ensure compliance on-site.
· Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Years of Exp : 10 to 12 Years Experience in Building Construction industry .
Education- B-tech, M-tech in Civil
