Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of a newly acquired Express Car Wash. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and hands-on experience in car wash services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, build a membership/loyalty program from the ground up, ensure high-quality service delivery, and maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of our facility. The General Manager will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. This location has a new tunnel and equipment. We plan to invest heavily in amenities and marketing to help build a loyal customer base.
Duties
- Oversee all day-to-day site operations, from team scheduling and development to ongoing performance coaching
- Maintain pristine facility standards across all equipment, building, and exterior areas
- Streamline operational processes to boost productivity and reduce equipment idle time
- Maximize vehicle flow efficiency to deliver quick service and an outstanding customer experience
- Champion exceptional customer service by addressing concerns, questions, and feedback with speed and professionalism
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and membership expansion
- Manage supply chain for wash products and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels at all times
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure environment for both team members and guests
- Track and evaluate operational data, financial performance, and key business metrics
- Partner with leadership to set and achieve specific objectives
- Handle team and customer disputes with diplomacy, fostering positive resolutions
Skills
- Management or supervisory background, ideally within the express car wash model
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working on your feet for long periods in outdoor conditions
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a talent for building and inspiring teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Service-oriented approach with dedication to exceeding customer expectations
- Effective communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse groups
- Familiarity with Sonny’s car wash systems, equipment upkeep, and industry safety standards
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and operational software
- High school diploma required
