Job Title: General Manager – Finance

Position Overview
The General Manager (Finance) will lead and oversee all financial operations of Shree Ganesh Roadlines, including accounting, budgeting, taxation, financial planning, fund management, client follow up, preparing daily report of Accounts department and statutory compliance. The role requires a proactive leader with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to ensure sound financial health and growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and systems to support business objectives.
- Prepare long-term financial forecasts and budgets.
- Oversee cost control, fund flow, and working capital management.
2. Accounting & Reporting
- Supervise and guide the Accounts Department for accurate and timely accounting.
- Ensure preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
3. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory obligations.
- Handle tax assessments, filings, and correspondence with authorities.
- Keep management updated on changes in financial regulations and implications.
4. Banking & Treasury Operations
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Handle fund management, overdraft facilities, and loan documentation.
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables.
5. Business Analysis & Support
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support management in decision-making with financial insights.
- Evaluate new business proposals, capital investments, and cost-benefit analysis.
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) / MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts, and taxation, including at least 5 years in a senior management position.
- Industry Preference:
- Logistics, Transportation, Infrastructure, or related sectors preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC & Audit procedures.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and Financial Reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with management, auditors, and external agencies.
