General Manager for F&B

Position Overview

The General Manager (GM) will oversee the overall operations, strategy, and performance of the organization. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and operational expertise to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The GM will lead department heads, manage resources effectively, and act as the key liaison between ownership and operational teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Provide vision, direction, and leadership to all departments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships for expansion.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across all business units (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Sales, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth and efficient workflows, quality standards, and service delivery.
  • Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to improve efficiency and profitability.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Drive cost control, revenue growth, and profit optimization.
  • Approve major expenditures and investments aligned with company goals.

Human Resources & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, HR policies, and health & safety standards.
  • Build a strong culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, investors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and official dealings.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and address escalated issues effectively.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure company operations comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in F&B.
  • Strong financial management and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering business growth and operational excellence.
  • Deep knowledge of UAE market, regulatory framework, and industry practices.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Board of Directors / CEO / Owner
  • Direct Reports: Department Heads (Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing, Procurement, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)

Experience:

  • F&B: 8 years (Required)
