General Manager – Italian Cafe

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the end-to-end setup and operations of a premium Italian cafe in Dubai. The role involves overseeing business establishment, managing regulatory approvals, hiring and training staff, and driving the cafe’s overall performance, profitability, and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the complete setup of the cafe, including concept execution and operational planning.

· Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for fit-out and equipment procurement.

· Develop SOPs, workflows, and operational guidelines.

· Ensure readiness for opening within defined timelines and budget.

· Manage all required trade licenses, permits, and approvals from relevant Dubai authorities (e.g., DED, Municipality, Food Safety).

· Ensure compliance with UAE laws, hygiene standards, and health regulations.

· Maintain documentation and ensure timely renewals of licenses.

· Recruit, onboard and train staff including chefs, baristas, service team, and supervisors.

· Foster a positive work culture and ensure high employee engagement.

· Oversee daily operations including kitchen, service, inventory, and customer experience.

· Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service delivery.

· Monitor and control costs, wastage, and stock levels.

· Implement efficient systems for ordering, billing, and reporting.

· Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

· Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability.

· Implement cost-control measures and drive revenue growth.

· Develop and execute marketing strategies to position the cafe in the Dubai market.

· Plan promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns.

· Ensure exceptional guest experience and handle customer feedback effectively.

· Maintain brand standards aligned with an authentic Italian cafe concept.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.

· Minimum 7–10 years of experience in F&B operations, with at least 5–6 years in a managerial role.

· Experience in restaurant/cafe pre-opening or setup is highly preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Dubai licensing and regulatory requirements.

· Experience with Italian cuisine concepts is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
