Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager – Transportation and Logistics, based in Odisha.

Oversee and manage all day-to-day transport and logistics operations

Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Manage fleet operations, maintenance schedules, and route planning

Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies

Lead, supervise, and develop operations staff and drivers

Monitor KPIs and prepare operational performance reports

Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource utilization

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners

Resolve operational issues and ensure high customer satisfaction

Identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvement, should be able to arrange trucks from the market.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Planning and Organizational Skills to ensure smooth operations and effective scheduling

Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to handle client requirements and maintain excellent relationships

Expertise in Transportation Management to optimize logistics and delivery processes

Ability to lead operational teams and make strategic decisions for improved efficiency

Experience in managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and achieving cost-effective solutions

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fields

Proven experience in a senior transportation or logistics management role

15-25 years of experience in transportation or logistics management

Must be located in commutable distance to Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
