POSITION: General Manager Quality Assurance (WOVEN)

COMPANY: Leading Multinational Apparel Manufacturer

LOCATION: Bangladesh

PACKAGE: USD 4,000 - USD 5,500 per month + Accommodation + Air Tickets + Other Benefits


OVERVIEW:


Join a leading multinational apparel manufacturer seeking for a General Manager – Quality who will lead and manage the quality function for the woven apparel division , ensuring adherence to international quality standards, customer specifications, and compliance requirements. The role requires a strong background in woven garments, proven expertise in quality systems, and leadership skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement and zero-defect manufacturing.


PRE - REQUISITES:


1.Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement the overall quality strategy for woven apparel manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, industry standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, WRAP, SA8000).
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and right-first-time production.


2.Quality Assurance & Control

  • Oversee quality control processes across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
  • Establish robust in-line and end-line inspection systems to minimize rework and wastage.
  • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor supplier quality performance for trims, fabrics, and accessories.


3.Customer & Compliance Management

  • Act as the key liaison with buyers, auditors, and compliance bodies on quality matters.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Prepare quality performance reports and communicate effectively with senior leadership and clients.


4.Process Excellence & Innovation

  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Introduce best practices and technological innovations in quality monitoring.
  • Benchmark industry trends and adopt new methods to strengthen woven apparel quality standards.


5.Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, train, and mentor a large quality assurance and control team.
  • Develop capability-building programs to strengthen technical skills and awareness.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between production, merchandising, and technical teams.


PRE - REQUISITES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in woven apparel products
  • Proven track record of leading quality teams in large-scale woven garment factories.
