Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage operations efficiently, and a focus on team development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage staff training and development, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Supervise kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Develop budgets and manage financial performance to achieve operational goals.
- Coordinate catering services and banquet events as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary experience.
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations as well as fine dining experiences is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in staff training, team management, and leadership within a hospitality setting.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and inventory control practices.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety protocols is essential.
- Previous experience in shift management, supervising staff, or assistant manager roles is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of budgeting processes within the restaurant environment.
