General Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff members, including servers, cooks, bartenders, and supervisors, fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
• Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize food and beverage stock levels using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Implement and maintain strict food safety standards and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health regulations.
• Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, customer service, POS operation, and restaurant policies to enhance team skills and performance.
• Supervise shift management activities to ensure smooth transitions between shifts while maintaining high service standards.
• Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, daily reconciliations, and deposit preparations.
• Monitor restaurant financials through budgeting, cost control measures, and sales analysis to maximize profitability.
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally while promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
• Coordinate with kitchen management to oversee food production quality, presentation standards, and menu execution.
• Lead hiring processes by interviewing candidates for various roles to build a competent team aligned with our service standards.
• Develop strategies for marketing promotions or special events such as banquets or catering services to increase revenue streams.
• Maintain accurate records of operational activities, incident reports, health inspections, and staff schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within the food industry, ideally in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management practices.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
• Strong understanding of inventory control procedures along with food safety regulations and certifications.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, staff training & development, and performance management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
• Experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational improvements.
• Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
