Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient and pleasant service and adherence to Jersey Mike’s standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of staff members, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize food and beverage stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Handle cash management duties, including cash handling procedures, POS system operations and financial reporting.
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and food handling to guarantee quality and consistency across all menu items.
- Implement staff training programs focused on customer service excellence, food safety, and operational procedures.
- Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts while maintaining high service standards.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction through attentive service and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Must be outgoing and put customer service first!
- Must be passionate and dedicated to being part of the Jersey Mike’s family.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work 50+ hours per week, work weekends, nights and holidays. Must also be able to work up to 6-7 days a week if needed.
- Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and food safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such and cash handling expertise is essential.
- Strong background in food service management, including inventory control, budgeting, and team training & development.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in hospitality management within the food industry; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
- Ability to oversee kitchen operations including food production, catering services, bar management, and banquet events if applicable.
- Knowledge of health regulations related to food handling and safety practices.
