Role Overview:

KARCO is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to develop/ lead our Sales and Marketing division to oversee the management, consolidate/ development and execution of sales strategies, manage sales teams, and coordinate with international offices and distributors to meet the company's objectives.

The ideal candidate needs to have a strong background in SaaS applications/Marine industry, with a preference for those with sailing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the Sales and Marketing teams, including sales managers and executives.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior staff members to improve performance and achieve departmental targets.
  • Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in alignment with company objectives.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure targets are met consistently.
  • Collaborate with management to set sales goals and KPIs.
  • International Coordination:
  • Coordinate and collaborate with overseas offices (specifically in Singapore and Greece) to drive sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in achieving targets and provide necessary support to local teams.
  • Global Distribution and Account Management:
  • Coordinate with global distribution agents to ensure timely deliveries and meet company objectives.
  • Build and maintain a dedicated CRM to ensure effective marketing strategies and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Follow up with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Identify and develop new accounts to expand the customer base and achieve growth.
  • Regular travel to customer offices within India/Overseas
  • Exhibition Participation:
  • Represent the company in exhibitions and trade shows across the globe
  • Engage with potential clients and partners to promote the brand and explore new business opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in senior roles in Sales and Marketing.
  • SaaS or Marine industry background is essential.
  • Sailing experience is highly desirable (any position).
  • Post-MBA candidates will be preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage international teams and coordinate across regions.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales/marketing automation systems.
  • Ability to engage with customers and partners in a highly professional manner.
