General Manager, Strategic Accounts

High-stakes leadership role requiring a mix of operational precision and complex pharmaceutical relationship management. This position is responsible for the P&L and growth of accounts involving high value and service, where compliance and reliability are non-negotiable, as well as success of key performance indicators in conjunctions with warehouse general managers. The GM oversees the commercial health and operational alignment for enterprise-level life sciences customers (e.g., Pharma, Biotech, MedTech). You lead the strategy to integrate cold-chain logistics and regulatory-grade warehousing into a seamless, high-growth account loop through your strategic account managers and close relationship with warehouse general managers and business development.

Key Outcomes Expected

Life Science Commercial Stragtegy:

  • Develop multi-year strategic account plans specifically for high-value pharma and medical device portfolios.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added services and existing business growth that supports our strategy for business development

Quality and Compliance Integration:

  • Ensure all account activities align with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and cGMP standards.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) to manage customer experience and visibility to all reported issues, audits and CARS.
  • Partner with Operations Manager and Warehouse General Managers to create a clear and collaborative solution
  • Drive real-time visibility and data integrity initiatives, enabling clients to have confidence in our data.

Operational & Financial Leadership:

  • Manage a cross-functional team of account managers and Customer Success specialists.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse GMs to effectively and strategically communicate customers’ needs
  • Working with Business Development for Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews

Critical Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • SAP or S/4HANA (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office / M365 proficiency
  • Strong customer service foundation and professionalism

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s in Healthcare/Logistics highly preferred. ·
  • 10+ years in Senior Account Management or General Management, with at least 5 years specifically in the Life Sciences/Healthcare vertical.
  • Expertise in CRMs, advanced WMS platforms, and familiar with Life Sciences regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA).

Physical Requirements and Work Envrionment: Must be able to work in an office environment as needed and balance travel to support sales strategy. Work is performed in an office environment, either at Langham or at a client location, with some exposure to warehouse environment for client tours, etc
